HIT Workout - Feb 25th

Worked out fasted with 10 grams of BCAAs…spent less time resting between exercises (< 2 minutes).  This made the workout feel harder, (I actually felt nauseous after the workout) but I didn’t notice any difference in my results…

HIT Work-out Feb 16th

Happy Valentine’s and President’s day…I took last week, and Monday off due to holidays.  So it has been 11 days since my last work-out…fasted since dinner last night, 9 grams BCAAs 15 minutes before work-out.  Pull down and Overhead Press TULs are below where I want them…(I try to keep as close to 90 seconds as I can, failure on 5th rep).  Contributing factor? The last 3 exercises were done in rapid succession as I was running late and the next victim was waiting…but I’ll keep the weight constant next week to be sure…

HIT Workout - Feb 5th

Interesting comment on Doug McGuff's latest post, http://www.bodybyscience.net/home.html/.  He has started to perform the leg press in the middle of the big 5.  (Geesh, I could have told him that…it kicks up the metabolic rate so the last 2 exercises are being performed completely winded…)

 

My trainer, Chris, has noticed that quite a few of us Body By Science guys end up with shoulder impingements.  He recommends rotator cuff exercises on off-days.  True enough, me and my friend Jeff Erno, http://ernoj.blogspot.com/, have both had issues with this.

 

I worked out fasted with 9 grams of BCAAs taken 15 minutes before workout:
